On the day of my book celebration, when we hosted 80 folks for a bbq/potluck and informal reading---where my oldest daughter also read a poem---watercolor artist Susan Meyer dropped off the painting below, which is of my two daughters. It is now hanging, with eggshell-colored matte and elegant black frame, in our living room, against the straw doll wall that drinks in the warmth of the afternoon sun. The wall has been waiting for this artwork since the house was built back in 2000, even though we didn't know it was coming until this spring!

Susan does wonderful paintings, and her artwork is exhibited in the latest ARTerrain gallery, as well as on her website at Portraits and other paintings can be commissioned.

Sisters, by Susan Meyer.

Thanks Susan!
