Really awesome evening storms we've been having with this young desert monsoon. More wind and theatrics than rain, I'm sorry to say.

This photo is courtesy of neighbor Tom Chong on the other side of our Civano neighborhood, looking south toward the Santa Rita Mountains and Mexico (way) beyond.

Yeah, I love the monsoon season in Arizona. All that lightning, and dust. I was going to title my first poetry collection "Stars are the Slowest Lightning" but thought better of it.

Glad to read another Arizona poet blogger.

Hey Eduardo, thanks for stopping by. Have you been getting any rain up in Casa Grande, or just the wind and heat?

Just rain, wind and heat.

I'm in the middle of planning a move to Urbana, IL but when I get settled, sometime in August, I'll email you to purchase a copy of your book.

Gotta support Arizona writers.
