From the Magnetic Poetry Stand

... that I received for Christmas, my first magnetic 'poem:'

black meander machine

play down the plump and ecstatic storm
sing mud from the sizzling summer soil
livid dirt? no matter it is my dizzy
rhythm a cheeky stream of brilliant oil

Addition on Jan. 13, a poem from co-worker Eric Van Meter:

not paradise but cool & wet
dizzy like the popsicle carnival
every dirt vein boy
staggering with summer music
a sound like rain
and you remember
how a night can make
an orange blossom moon
murmur in a solitary sky

To which I respond a day later: What in the hell is that?

Or, as my verification word says: "hrhph."
