Desert Evening

Tonight, in my yard and thereabouts, after the day's gloriously violent rain:

What would the world be without color? he wonders aloud.

Beautiful reminder of the worth of our precious water.

Beautiful. What kind of camera are you using and what is the setting? They are sharp and hold the color so well.

Hey Deborah, thanks for stopping by. I've got a Canon Digital EOS Rebel XT. These photos all use the standard 18-55 mm lens, but for the closeups in other posts, I have a lovely Canon 60 mm macro lens that is just awesome.

I seem to take much better, and much more interesting, photos with the digital camera than with basically the same camera with film. I still have that camera, but doubt I'll ever us it again.

When I optimize the images I do generally use the auto contrast function if I think it will help, too. Seems more necessary when viewing on a monitor than an actual photo.
